The location is perfect. The rooms are big with good ambience. The staff is very helping and the room service is fast. You get the best food in town. The best part is that sauna and steam bath is free with your stay. It is specially very relaxing after a 16 km walk for darshan of Maa Vaisno Devi. Always take a valley view room. The view is astonishing and very relaxing. The glass windows are very big and covers the whole wall. Whenever you are in katra eat food here only. We stayed at this hotel in March 2014 and found it an absolutely fantastic hotel in all respects. The room size is qulite large and offered a great view of the mountains. The llobby is very well done with plenty of sofas and places to sit and simple but elegant decore. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant food is excellent. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives. The garden on the backside of the hotel is worth a leisurely stroll.

I visited The White Hotel from 3/11/2013 to 5/11/2013, and am still amazed by its view from the room. u feel like just sitting and gazing from the window. it has a very calm and nerve soothing atmosphere filled with full of positivity. the hotel is a majestic property and has a divine and peaceful atmosphere. one cannot imagine such a lavish hotel in a religious place offering such a relaxing stay. White Hotel has been my most favorite hotel since I have been visiting Maa Vaishnodevi every month since last 5-6 years. To start with ambiance, this hotel has perfectly projected the spiritual experience of stay in holy town Katra. On arrival you are treated with Puja Tikka and Holy scarf. Staff is very friendly taking care of all your requirement. Chekin purpose is very swift and you are escorted to you room. Rooms are clean with good view of valley. Lobby area is huge having comfortable sofas with LCD. Dining area is lively with ample staff. Food is delicious which we tried at Dinner and Breakfast. Gym and Spa is great and well manged by Mr Narinder who has become good friend of mine. DM Mr Vikramjeet Singh is very gentle person and take care of your choices every month. Lawns are great with good view. On the whole you feel pampered after the tedious journey of Maa Vaishnodevi.

Our visit to Vaishnodevi and stay at your hotel was one of the memorable trip we had. The location of the hotel was perfect. The hotel provide free pick and drop to the Katra Market and Helipad. Food was awesome. Overall, I had a nice time there

Hi Team White Hotels Katra!! My wife, my son and I visited Vaishno Devi from Pune, from May 27th 2013 to May 29th 2013 and I chose to book your hotel only after surfing the internet. I must say I did not make a wrong choice. I am really delighted to let you know that right from the time our taxi arrived at the hotel until our departure, we had a great experience, beginning with a traditional Indian Welcome ("Aarti" and "Tikka"). That was excellent!! The staff was very warm, friendly, courteous and professional in their approach and always smiling. The room was fantastic, with excellent view, very spacious & clean, the washroom was spick and span with running hot water. On the day we had to travel to the Helipad, the hotel staff made sure they had a car ready for us which dropped us to the helipad. A car was also promptly despatched the next day to pick us up as soon as we completed our Devi Darshan. Last but not the least, your’s is a truly international class hotel with great service, friendly staff, delicious food and neat, comfortable rooms. Dear Sir, We were booked in White Hotel Katra, for our first trip as couple within a week after marriage. We stayed there for 1 night and 2 days in suite, but what an experience it was! Its a supreme hotel in terms of hospitality, location and interiors (refreshing life size paintings and sovienier shops at the lower floor).The property (and most of its rooms) overlook the Vaishnavdevis hill shrine and one can see Helicopter rides from the comfort of the room itself! Complimentary pick up and drop facility from Bhavan and back was very helpful as the walk up and down took its toll on us. The food is good.(not a memory for the taste buds though!) It is indeed the best hotel in Katra.

I was surprised that the hotel and its facilities. It was good.. The check in was smooth. The reception was outstanding with the traditional tika and red shawl with kashmiri tea. the room was comfortable with the heating and a/c working well. the beds were good. The bathroom was also good. Toiletries were good. Bottled water was given everyday of the stay.. the breakfast buffet was good but could be better. the dinner food was good. The variety and taste was good.

The stay at white hotel was really very auspicious and comfortable .We were very pleased by the way we received at reception ,the attention given by manager , staffs, housekeeping everyone . Ensuring that I get the best experience for my family is one of my top most priorities while selecting my holiday partners esp hotels where I stay. With this in mind - I set out browsing through the various 5 star hotels in Katra and came across the White Hotels. Photographs and reviews of the hotels were okay - but I had heard little about the White Hotel chain - yet decided to take a chance and chose them over their competitor - Country Inn & Suites by Carlson. What helped me make the choice were few personal factors such as : (1) Friendliness of staff dealing with me over phone (I am based out of Hong Kong) (2) Flexibility - in terms of complimentary pick up and drop to the Katra market (3) Openness - in terms of letting me know of the options that I could opt for i.e a normal room over a suite etc. Well with all of the above - I chose to stay at the White Hotels and my "moment of truth" arrived when I saw the Suite (Room no 210) that was on offer. Wow ... what a view it had. Off one window - the entire Shrine Mountain and off the other window .... the expanse of the mountain ranges (lush green after the monsoons). The size of the room and the appointment of the same in terms of furnishings - was indeed very impressive. I fell for it and my family loved me for the same. For 4 days .... we stayed at the hotel and except for visiting the Katra market ... once a day... we spent most of the time at this wonderful hotel ... which has lush lawns and breathtaking views of the mountain ranges.... Add to that ... they have a 'heli pad' - with a helicopter perched there. Enough to have my 15 year old son excited. We must have taken atleast 50 photos and videos around this center of attraction...... Now on the restaurant......... fantastic food.......... not the routine Paneer dishes (which also were very very good) - but the more exotic stuff like "lotus root" based dishes....... the soup (lemon corriander), the lacha parathas (my son's favourite) and my missi rotis.... the south indian breakfast stuff ..and the gujarati theplas..... apart from the Ghobi parathas......... I can go on and on..... but would sum up saying....... excellent chefs in the restaurant..... Now on the hotel front office staff..... all very very courteous.... and well picked by the management I must say..... The duty manager (forget his name - but a Sardarji) - was impeccable in his mannerisms and I provided him a first hand feedback of my experience on the eve of my departure... On the whole....... a great holiday..... a great darshan (lucky to get one way helicopter despite foggy weather)...... and surely a great place to relax in Katra and enjoy fantastic hospitality...... All of the above...... written from my heart......

We went to Maa vaishno Temple a year ago and were in two minds while selecting our hotels because there were two 5 star properties in our mind : 1.Country Inn & Suites 2. The White hotel Katra. And as it was our second visit we selected the white as our hotel and we were right to choose white hotel. The previous time we visited katra we stayed in Contry Inn but we wanted & preffered to go for a change . We were really very happy with this hotel. Just a perfect 5 star , u can get luxurious comfort,ease,best food in katra if you are a food lover and most important it was just in the beautiful midst of katra. We booked this hotel on the spot. we heard about this hotel from various sites specially Trip advisor. They ranked this hotel No #1. That is really No1... I really thanks to trip advisor team. We have stayed at many hotels over the years, often luxury ones with impeccable details and fantastic designs. But Services offered by this hotel is unbeatable. Their Pickup and drop facility (free of cost) any where in Katra any number of time. is awesome. It is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this small family-run hotel. The owners and staff are social at just the right level and they go to great length to make you feel at home. In the afternoon, the staff would bring out snacks and coffee for guests. Even my family, who did not stay in the hotel, was received with open arms and exceptionally generously when they came to visit. T Food is really good and dellious. Steam Bath and Sauna Bath is complementary in this trip. My family really enjoyed. After Yatra, my family was tired and they got relaxed after taking Steam Bath. My wife and I were visiting Vaishno Devi from Toronto, Canada from Nov 30th 2010 to Dec 1st 2010 and I chose to book this hotel only on Nov 29th after surfing the web. The room was fantastic, very spacious with a clean, gleaming washroom with running hot water. Since we were already late for our helicopter to Sanjhichat, the hotel staff made sure they had a car ready for us as soon as we had a quick shower and dropped us to the helipad. A car was also promptly dispatched to Banganga to pick us up as soon as we completed our Yatra. The buffet breakfast next morning (which was included in the package) was, to say the least, AWESOME!! This is a truly international class hotel with great service, friendly staff, delicious food and neat, comfortable rooms. Hope you maintain this and I look forward to stay at White Hotel again on our next visit to Katra. .

v booked this hotel only on its 5 star ratingand pure vegetrian nature i travelled to katra with my wife and 2 kids for matadrshan i think staying at white hotel was a dream come true .the religious nature of katra was spread all over in the hotel.as v entred v were greeted with tika on forehead. the roo really wasspacious.both my kids really enjoyed. ride to helipad,avblity of taxi was very punctual This said, there is nothing wrong with the facilities. I have great faith in Mata rani and thus after my marriage I took my wife to visit Mata Rani. I have seen the white orchid hotel at Mumbai and thus I chose to stay in Orchid Katra. As this is an orchid group hotel the interiors of the hotel were fabulous. The hotel is slightly away from the main market and bus stand but the hotel provides you free drop and pick up for anywhere in katra. My room was very spacious and had the best furnishings. The view from the room window was of the valley. From the lawn of the hotel one can see the road leading to mata rani dham also known as "bharown". From the lawn you can also see the helicopters taking off for the "sanjhi chhat". We liked the view so much that we asked them to serve breakfast in the lawn and enjoyed it all long. The food was great! The vegatbles found in these mountains are very pure and they have their rich and natural taste, which is probably not possible to get in citites like Mumbai. Although I do not enjoy the veggie stuff much but the veg in here was delicious. the hotel staff was very well mannered and helpful.

I stayed in The White Orchid along with office colleague for an annual meeting. Though the trip was for official purpose , the hospitality we received was magnificent . The hotel front lobby was decorated luxuriously with lot of space. We stayed in a very spacious room with a wonderful mountain view from the huge glass window . Once you see the snow peak early in the morning even without getting out of your bed will definitely make your day. Every day we started from a well equiped gym. After an hour of work out in the gym we really enjoyed the lavish spread in the break fast table. Our conference hall was well equiped with a very good quality of audio-visual system. We went for Mata Baisno Devi temple & started very early at 5 A.M, even at that odd hour we found the tea ready for us. Besides the neatly mentained decor of the hotel the most attractive & beautiful was the hospitality from the entire hotel staff. Over all stay experience has really touched our heart & we are already planning the next annual meeting at The White Orchid.
